The body of the woman was found by a local farmwoman. At the time Sattahip Superintendent, police colonel Suppapee Bunkrong revealed that there were no signs of a robbery and mystery dead woman may have been killed because of a business conflict. He also believed that at least two attackers were involved.

On 15 November 2008 at 07.00 am, Mr. Prasit Woothijaruwong (56) and his wife, Mrs. Nimnual (54), residing at 349/8 Moo. 12, Nongprue, reported to police colonel Suppapee Bunkrong and requested to see the photos of the body of the mystery woman. They confirmed that the dead person was their daughter, Miss Natthanun or Toom (28) who had left her condo Sunday the 9th November 2008 with her boyfriend and his friend.

Mr. Prasit said his daughter worked as a tourist guide. She was normally very friendly and a very nice person and had never had problems with anybody. She was last seen driving a car (a Chevrolet Optra, plate no. S-1254, Bangkok] out of the condo with her boyfriend whose name is not known at this stage. Another car (Honda), driven by his friend, left at the same time.

Mr. Prasit suspects that the boyfriend and his friend must have been connected to her death because his daughter and her boyfriend had many heavy arguments due to his inability to commit himself to their relationship.

“I haven’t heard from her since then, but her boyfriend came back to the condo and pretended he couldn’t contact her”, Mr. Prasit said. The boyfriend became frustrated when he heard that Mr. Prasit would notify the police and then told Mr. Prasit that he had to leave for work in the south, which he did on the 10th November.

The parents of the dead woman have been trying to contact the boyfriend but they don’t know his real name. They were told that he is in the navy, based at Sattahip. His friend is definitely a navy private and they suspect he might have his car hidden in the naval base.

Police colonel Suppapee Bunkrong said this case is very brutal and the high-ranking official has ordered the police team to follow the case closely.
