Fake Goods Shop Closed Down in Bangkok

Bangkok Police led a team that targeted shops which sold fake goods. The shops sold mainly to foreigners.

BANGKOK-April 22, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 16.30 pm. Pol.Maj.Gen.Itthipol Piriyapinyo- Deputy commander of metropolitan police bureau- was accompanied with Pol.Lt.Col.Dusit Waleepracone, Pol.Lt.Col.Adul Dokpuang, Pol.Maj.Aiyara Ar-kartwipard, Pol.Maj.Thanameth Vijitjariya, Department of Intellectual Property’s agents and private sectors to patrol a three floor commercial building in Makkasarn district, Bamgkok after they were informed that the operators had illegally sold knock-offs brand name goods such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel for foreigners and local people.

The first shop the police came to they spoke to a Mr Thongsuk Khaibuddee who was an employee and they ask him to search the shop. They found a lot of brand named fake goods such as Louis Vuitton hand bags, Rolex watches and Ray-Ban eyeglasses, there were around 2,000 items valued at about 3 million baht. Initially Mr.Thongsuk admitted that they had sold fake goods. He added that they focused on selling them to foreigners.
