Pattaya, 20th April 2011. [Pattaya Daily News] At 1.30 a.m. Police Captain, Nitipoom Butwong was informed of a robbery at an English man’s house in Paradise Hill 2.

Upon arrival at the scene, a neighbour told the police Mr. Jerrad Joseph Brony, 73, had already been taken to Banglamung Hospital.

The English man was locked inside his house after a Thai thief assaulted him and fled with several stolen items (a diamond ring, 1000 Baht cash, 3 credit cards, car and house keys), the neighbour reported.

The victim managed to get out of the house through the backdoor and immediately contacted the neighbour for help.

The police then questioned the village security guard.

The teenage thief was regularly seen going to the house together with Mr. Brony, the security guard reported.

At the hospital the police were unable to obtain any information from the victim, because he was medically unstable for answering questions
