Drunk Korean Fell Asleep Behind The Wheel

A drunk Korean man drove directly into a motorcycle and a vacant car, crashing both vehicles after he felt asleep behind the steering wheel.

Pattaya, 19th March 2011. [Pattaya Daily News] 3 a.m., Police Lieutenant Pongsawad Wongwan Inspecting Officer of Pattaya Department, Chonburi was informed that the a male foreigner’s car has crashed a motorcycle, which were parked by the side road, also damaging other vehicles. The incident took place at in front of Jig Saw Mansion (located between Pattaya Soi 8-9, Pattaya No.2 Rd, Moo.9, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi)

The police arrived at the scene and discovered the Chevrolet car (Bronze-gray color, registered plate number Kor-Tor 9407, Rayong) parking on the side road. Next to the car was a crashed motorcycle (Green Honda Scoopy-I, registered plate number. Jor-Khor-Jor 483, Chonburi) which subsequently crashed into the back of a another pick-up car (Blue Nisson Navara, registered plate number Phor-Chor 2553, Chonburi). All two vehicles were severely damaged. Fortunately, nobody was hurt.

The driver of the car was Mr. Jungho Choi, 43-year-old Korean. He appeared to be heavily drunk. He told the police that while he was driving home, he fell asleep behind the steering wheel because he was too drunk, resulting in the severe accident. The police recorded the details of the incident and told the owner of the damaged car and motorcycle to press charges against Mr. Jungho. The police also detained the drunk driver for interrogation and measure the alcohol level in his body before prosecuting him.
