Drug Dealing Monk Caught Red Handed

A monk has been arrested in a temple for dealing drugs. He had been arrested in 2011 and jailed for 3 years for the same offence.

SATTAHIP – September 9, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 16.00 pm CAPT.Khompan Ouppalanon was accompanied with Pol.Col.Chanapat Nawaluk-superintendent of Sattahip police station-, police and soldiers to inspect a temple in Sattahip district. The officials arrested a Mr.Armsa (Arm) Srisai aged 22 with 200 amphetamine pills. He had also previously been arrested for the same offence.

 

CAPT.Khompan revealed that previously officers had arrested some drug addicts and dealers and the suspects claimed that they and Mr.Armsa were in the same gang. Therefore the officers raided his room and caught him with 200 amphetamine pills. He confessed that he had just been released from prison and had returned to dealing drugs and had decided to ordain in order to conceal himself from officials.

 

On 12 May 2011 he was arrested by a team of officers which was led by Mr.Chaichan Eiumcharoen-former Sattahip chief district- in his house. When he was arrested he was caught with 340 amphetamine pills, a modified gun with ammunition and a lot of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed for 3 years.
