The police operation was carried out at 11:00 pm under the leadership of Chonburi Deputy Investigator Lieutenant Kumpanat Ritpetchnil. Previous investigations had shown that the 2 suspects, Mr. Apichat Junhorm [28] and Mrs. Orasa Baukun [27] had been selling Yah Bah in the Naklua and Pattaya district for a long time.

A police undercover officer made an appointment with the suspects to buy 100 Yah Bah tablets for 16,000 baht at the Sawang Fah Prutharam temple, in Naklua.

The suspects arrived in a Bronze/Gold Toyata Vios truck, no. 8020 Chonburi. As the police were about to show their ID, Mr. Apichat realized what was happening and managed to run away leaving Mrs. Orasa with the evidence of 100 blue plastic bags containing drugs hidden on her person. On questioning, she admitted to police she intended to sell the drugs.

While the police were taking her to the police station, Mrs. Orasa offered the police 200,000 baht to release her. The police officials pretended to agree to her bribe in order to facilitate the arrest of her accomplice. Mrs. Orasa then called her sister, Mrs. Aunchalee Baukun, to bring the money to her at the Por Tor Tor petrol station opposite to the Lotus supermarket , South Pattaya.

As the sisters tried to offer the money they were both arrested. Mrs. Oras would be charged for possession of drugs with intent to sell and attempting to bribe police officials. Her sister also faces bribery charges.
