PATTAYA-Recently- [PattayaDailyNews] It’s reported that Pattaya official has allocated about 1 million baht to construct new U-turn on Sukhumvit road opposite NongKraBok road in order that the local people would be able to make a U-Turn easier (300 meters closer). In addition, there are always accident at the current U-Turn and the official decided to close it permanently.

On February 3, some people installed the big post to complain Pattaya official at the new U-Turn because they dissatisfied that the official doesn’t open the new U-Turn point even though the construction has been done. In addition, they claimed that this is the root cause of traffic congestion and the people have to waste their fuel.

They complained on the post that Pattaya official has closed the old U-Turn because they need to reduce the accident and the official constructed 2 U-Turn points but they were available for 4 days before the official put the barriers to close them. The reason of closing is still untold. The official should be responsible on this issue because this issue make the problem to the local people.

However, the post was uninstalled in the afternoon.

Mr.Ronnakit Aekasingha- deputy mayor of Pattaya- said that the official decided to construct the new U-turn because the police officer reported that there have been always the accident there. As a result, the Pattaya official has discussed with engineering section in order to make the new U-turn. Later the official approved the project and the contractor finished their job already. The U-turn is for small and medium car but the big bus is not allowed.

However, the U-turn points were finished during New Year festival; therefore, the the official made the decision to close them for a while in order to avoid the accident. The official insisted that those U-turn points would be available within next week.

In addition, it’s reported that the official and concerned section have analysed together before the project was approved. However, the official has to close them for a short period because the traffic system should be entirely completed because a small mistake might make severe damage.
