RATCHABURI – September 4, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]: at 10 a.m., the arrest of a boy for killing his cousin was announced by Pol. Maj. Gen. Nipon Poopansri, the commissioner of Ratchaburi provincial police; Pol.Col. Pratchai Jaicharnsukkit, vice commissioner, with provincial detective team; and the detective team of Muang Ratchaburi police station.

The suspect, “Mr.Tep” (alias), age15, is accused of killing his cousing, Mr. Suea, age16, a sophomore-year student studying for his vocational certificate at Technic College.

After killing his cousin, Mr. Tep then put the body into a water bucket at the cousin’s house in Angthong, Muang Ratchaburi.

After his arrest, Mr. Tep confessed to police that he had killed his cousin, whom he had known since they were children. However, he said his cousin liked to look down on Mr. Tep and his family, because they were poorer.

On July 28, the day of the incident, Mr. Tep was drunk, and angry thoughts entered his mind of how his cousin liked to insult him. Mr. Tep then climbed into Mr. Suea’s house to hurt him, and to make his cousin stop looking down on him.

He found his cousin playing video games on the ground floor of the home. He then hit Mr. Suea’s arm with a hammer, hit him in the face with his fist, kneed him in the chest, and then kicked Mr. Suea’s ribs many times until he became unconscious and started bleeding.

He then realized his cousin had died. Mr. Tep then dragged the body to the second floor, and put him into a water bucket to conceal it as an accident.

Then Mr. Tep started to search the room for valuables, and found 200 baht, 3 Buddha images and a liquor bottle. So he took the items in his black bag to sell to others, then returned home. It was not long before Mr. Tep got arrested.
