Construction of Three New HighwaysThe government has agreed to construction 3 new highways in Thailand to meet the demand of AEC.
Recently – [PattayaDailyNews]; The government has said it intends to renovate the 3 Motorways in order to support a lot more vehicles after AEC opens.
Adm.Prachin Chantong-minister of land transportation revealed that the cabinet agreed to construct 3 new routes consisting of
1. Bang Pa-In-NakornRatchasima 196 Km which will cost 84,600 million baht.
2. Bang Yai-Karnchanaburi 96 km which will cost 55,620 million baht
3. Pattaya-Mabtapud 32 Km which will cost 20,000 million baht.
Also the official intended to start with the 3rd route first and around 2,308 Rais of land will be needed and it’s expected to be finished in 2016. Plus the department of highways will be in charge of the 3 routes.
The first highway will run through 3 districts consisting of Bang Lamung, BanChang, and Sattahip and also 8 sub-districts consisting of Naklua, Nongplalai, Pong, HuayYai, Samnukkraton and Pla. The motorway is 32 kilometres long and will cost 20,200 million baht.
