Commander of Chonburi Police Assigns Street Patrols In Pattaya

The commander of Chonburi Provincial police station chaired the opening ceremony for assigning street patrols to ensure the safety of tourists during the up and coming high season in Pattaya.

PATTAYA – November 14, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 4.00 p.m., in front of Pattaya city police station, Chon Buri province, Pol.Maj.Gen. Nitiphong Niamnoi (Commander of Chon Buri Provincial Police Station) was the chairman of the ceremony of assigning patrollers to inspect security of tourists on Pattaya beach, Jomtien beach and Walking Street called the “Pattaya Serve And Protect Team” which are Pol.Col. Supphathee Boonkhrong (Deputy Commander, Acting Superintendent of Pattaya city police station) and Mr. Ronnakit Ekasing (Deputy Mayor of Pattaya city) had brought forces of patrollers, traffic police, municipal officers and officers of Pattaya City Special Services, totally over 50 officers to join in the ceremony.

Pol.Maj.Gen. Nitiphong Niamnoi said that the project “Pattaya Serve And Protect Team” is in accordance with the police in preparing for AEC in 2015 in order to enhance the efficiency in taking care of security for Thai and foreign tourists that will visit Pattaya city during the up and coming high season. The different forces will be divided into foot patrols , bicycle patrols , Segway patrols golf car patrols and horse patrols which will be on the streets at Pattaya beach, Walking Street and Jomtien beach to take care of the safety of the visiting tourists. The hope is that the high visual presence of the patrols will deter street crime.
