PATTAYA-April 21, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; Pol.Lt.Saksith Kaikaew- investigator of Pataya police station-was notified that a foreigner had drowned on Thong Lang beach on Koh Lan Island. The Sawangborriboon Thammasathan rescue team had already brought the body to Bali Hai Pier. At the scene Mrs.Xiong Xintao-aged 56 the wife of the drowned man was crying. He was identified as Mr.Guo Burong-aged 57 from China.

Upon questioning Ms Pornjanut Kamolrattanapong-aged 27 a Thai guide- revealed that her group of tourists and her were on Koh-Lan Island. Mr Guo decided to go swimming and drowned about 20 meters from the beach. The beach operator’s workers tried to save him but he was already dead so they notified the police.

Surprisingly Mr.Guo had no congenital disease. It’s expected that Mr.Guo had drowned because he fainted while he was swimming. However the police had already sent his body to the police hospital in order to perform an autopsy to find the real cause of his death.
