Inside, police found the body of Mr. Jiraphan Anngam [37] from Bangkok, a karaoke cashier, lying on the sofa. He was wearing a T-shirt with jeans, with a bullet wound to his head. The shot had gone through his head and out of the left cheek. On the sofa was a burn mark with wisps of smoke resulting from the shot and a piece of plastic shell had fallen nearby. There were no visible signs of a struggle. The officer recorded the details for evidence.

A witness, Mr. Wasuwat Phetcharat [41], the owner, stated that before the incident occurred he was watching the World Cup football Japan-Paraguay in his room at the back of venue as there were no customers. At that time a few waitresses were sitting in front of the venue and Mr. Anngam was lying on the sofa inside watching the football match. He heard a gunshot and screaming from the waitresses. As he rushed out he saw Mr. Anngam had been shot dead on the sofa. He rushed out of the front to see 3 male teenagers riding a lady’s style motorbike (registration number unknown) fleeing from the scene. The owner then informed the police but could offer no information as to the motive for the killing.

The body was sent to the forensic institute for autopsy. Police Colonel Somnuk Janket (Banglamung Police Superintendent) stated that he assumed the reason for the killing was over a personnel matter or a gambling debt. The witnesses will be called to give evidence in order to solve the case.
