Car Runs Red Light Hitting 2 Chinese Girls In Pattaya

2 Chinese girls have been hit in a hit and run incident on the Sukhumwit road Pattaya when a car jumped a red light. After the accident the driver fled the scene but was quickly arrested by police.

PATTAYA – September 7, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 21.00 pm Pol.Maj.Tatsak Jirattikulchai-inspector of Bang Lamung police station-was notified that a car had run a red light and hit 2 people who were crossing the road on a crossing point in front of Choljan hotel. Police officers and Sawang Boriboon rescue team rushed to the scene.

 

At the scene the police found 2 Chinese girls who had been injured. Plus one of them was unconsciousness. Therefore the rescuers performed CPR on her before sending them to Bang Lamung hospital. But the car had fled from the scene after the accident.

Upon questioning the witnesses they revealed that the girls had just came out of the 7-11 and were walking back across the road to the Choljan hotel when a Toyota Vigo travelling at high speed ran a red light before hitting the 2 girls. The car then fled the scene at speed.

 

Later the officers found the car that had hit the 2 girls parked on the side of the Sukhumwit road. Mr Cholwit Pidtarapo aged 21 was identified as the driver and the police took him to police station in order to prosecute him.
