Canadian Jumps To His Death In Suvarnabhumi Airport

The police of Suvarnabhumi airport police station was notified that there was an incident involving a foreign man who had jumped to his death from the 4th floor of passenger terminal building in Suvarnabhumi airport.

SAMUT PRAKAN – March 2, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 11.20 a.m. Pol.Maj. Arthit Pholjan (Inspector of Suvarnabhumi airport, Samut Prakan province) was notified that at the gate no. 10 of the passenger terminal building at Suvarnabhumi airport there was a male foreigner who had jumped to his death from the 4th floor of the terminal building.

At the incident the officers found a foreign man unconscious on his side and had suffered broken arms and legs. He was severely injured so the officers rushed him to hospital but he died later. He was identified as Mr. Raymond Mark Campbell, aged 64, Canadian nationality.

Mr. Raymond Mark Campbell travelled from Canada to Thailand on January 16, 2014 and was due to go back to Canada on March 22, 2014 but decided tp return on the 2nd of March maybe due to personal problems. When he arrived at the 4thfloor of the departure passenger terminal building he jumped from the 4th floor to his death.

The police assumed that Mr. Raymond Mark Campbell intended to jump down from the building in order to commit suicide. However, the officers sent the corpse to perform autopsy at the Institute of Forensic Medicine to find the actual cause of his death. The officers of the Canadian Embassy in Thailand will contact his relatives.
