Cambodians Stab Thai FishermanA Thai fisherman was attacked and then stabbed by a group of Cambodian men while he was fishing on Jomtien beach.
PATTAYA-12th August- [PattayaDailyNews] at 00.10 am Pol.Lt.Sombat Kaewmoonsuk- inspector of Pattaya police station- and a rescue team rushed to inspect a crime scene where a man had been stabbed and injured on Jom Tien beach. At the scene the officers found Mr Yodruk Klomsakul aged 32 who had been stabbed 3 times, twice in the body and once in the neck. The rescue team performed first aid on him before sending him to Bang laung hospital.
Mr Piya Ngamsanga aged 25 who was an eyewitness told police that he was fishing alone when 4-5 men ran over to him and kicked his fishing rod. The Cambodian men then apologized to him before they left the area. Later 5-6 Cambodian men came back and attacked him.
The police then found one of the Cambodian men in some woods. He was identified as Mr Jan aged 16. Upon questioning he revealed that he was employee of a shop in Pattaya. He claimed that the Cambodian man who kicked the fishing rod ran up to him and told him that the Thai man was a trouble maker and they needed his help to beat him up. However, he insisted that he wasn’t involved in the attack.
However, the police officers recorded the incident and are now hunting the attackers.
