Beauty technology skills to be enhanced among vocational teaching personnel

BANGKOK, 1 March 2012 – The Office of Vocational Education Commission (VEC) has joined hands with the Beauty Culture Association of Thailand in enhancing the potential of beauty technology trainings in polytechnic institutes.

Deputy Education Minister Sakda Kongpetch yesterday presided over the signing of a cooperation agreement between VEC Deputy Secretary General Akanit Klangsaeng and Chairman of the Beauty Culture Association of Thailand Anan Chiangsorn, which aims to raise the efficiency of beauty technology vocational training in Thailand to meet with universal standards. The collaboration aims to develop the skills of vocational teaching staff in the field of beauty technology.

With the association’s assistance, professional hair stylists from beauty institutes will be sharing their knowledge about new beauty innovations with teachers from vocational schools across the country.

Additionally, the Beauty Culture Association of Thailand will organize an event, entitled the Hair Festival of Thailand on March 28, at the Thunder Dome in Muangthong Thani, with aims to raise funds for flood victims. On this occasion, vocational teaching staffs will also get a chance to acquire knowledge and experience from the show.
