BANGKOK – Recently [Pattaya Daily News]; there was a report that a taxi driver had hung a poster in his taxi asking passengers to be considerate and not to eat, use make up and to put their mobile phones on silent and if they can’t abide by the rules they can get out and use a minivan instead. The message on a poster also stated that the driver does not care about the mass media.

“Don’t eat gum, toffee, and candy at all.” “Don’t use talcum powder, perfume, chemical substance, please go elsewhere to use them.” “Turn off the sound or turn it right down while playing games, Whats App, Line, please be thoughtful, you’re a grown up now ” “Monk Wor. Stated that : Don’t think that people will be considerate to you if you’re not considerate to them first” “Bangkok has many forms of transport and this Taxi doesn’t care about the mass media!

After photographs had been posted over the internet lots of people agreed with the taxi driver because some passenger often spit out gums onto the seats, eat food which smells, spray perfume and with line and other internet messaging services the alert tone when you receive a new message can be very annoying to other people. On the other hand, some people criticised the poster because of their rights.
