Bangkok Police Officials Involved In A Crime

One Uzbekistan citizen and 4 Bangkok police officials joined hands in committing a crime that are now being investigated.

BANGKOK – August 22, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; at lumpini police station Mr. Danilo Der Vito,51 years old and Mr. Antonio Di Muro, 62 year old Italian engineers filed a report to the inquiry specialists Col. Yut Thongyu of Lumpini police station at 9.00pm on 21 August 2013. They claimed that a man comes to the hotel reported himself as a police and asks for 2 million baht cash in return for not reporting credit card fraudulent accusation.

The two Italian engineers claimed that they arrived to Thailand at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 7.00pm and by 9 pm they had checked into the Nanaracha Hotel located in Soi Nana. After which they came for a stroll in front of the hotel and used the ATM machine, suddenly four men surrounded them dressed like police oficals and accused the Italian’s for using a fake card and asked them to follow the police to the fifth floor of a building to negotiate a del. However, the two Italian cannot identify which building.

After that, the gang took them to Sawasdee Sukhumvit Soi 57 Wattana Rd at 2:00 pm of August 20 and threatened them to pay 2 million baht in exchange for not prosecuting them for fraud. The gang stated that if caught for fraudulent cases meant major punishments. The two Italian victims have stated that they did not have that amount of money and therefore the gang negotiated for €25,000. That very moment the Italian victims made a call back to their country to asd to transfer the money however during the conversation they spoke in Italian and stated that they were being accused of fraud.

After the conversation that relatives in Italy immediately reported the event to the Thai police.

Pol.Col Banchang Amlit and Pol.Vom Chaiya Kongsab from Lumpini police station immediately contacted the Sawasdee hotel to inquire whether the two Italians came to stay at the hotel. During that very second the gang was able to run away. However, after the police investigated the CCTV, the image clearly showed the four gang members and they were identified as actual police along with one foreigner. The two Italian victims then identified the gang members so that the police could further investigate.

Maj. Gen. Suebsak, revealed that after inquiring the two Italian victims it is found that the victims had lost €1500 as for the money that was being transferred to the gangs account, has already been stopped.

The five gang members have been identified in which four are actual police. Two of which are Pol.Lt, that are responsible for drug suppression from the Lumpini police station, the other two are from Thonglor police station. And for the fifth member he is an Uzbekistan citizen. Currently, the gang member names will not be revealed, further investigations will be done so that evidence could be collected as a report for the court hearing.

It has also been found that the two police officials that are from the Lumpini police station, had been transferred to the from the Thonglor police station, who were working for the drug suppression Department. These two police turned offed their phones and ran away. As for the two police officials from the Thonglor police station, one reported to surrender himself and the other officer will surrender himself at 6 PM. However no news was heard from them again.
