Army Officials Visit Flood VictimsThe Deputy Minister of Defence and Commander-in-Chief of the Army have visited flood victims in Tambon Huay Yai. They handed out aid packages to help them through their time of need.
PATTAYA – September 19th 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; Gen. Udomdet (Deputy Minister of Defence and Commander-in-Chief of the Army) together with army officials went to visit flood victims and gave them aid packages to help them through their time of need at Ban Mab Fak Thong, Moo 11 Tambon Huay Yai, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province.
Mr. Chakhon (Banglamung sheriff) said that 13 villages in Amphur Banglamung and Moo 11 Ban Mab Fak Thong, Tambon Huay Yai had been affect by the flooding.
Mr. Itthiphon (Mayor of Pattaya City) said that Pattaya city is in a low lying area and is always affected by flooding during very heavy rain so they have brought mobile water pumps and automatic water pumps to pump the flood water out of the catchment areas. For the long term Pattaya city is planning to expand waterspouts all over Pattaya city and the project for the budget is almost 10,000 million THB.
