Another Gang Member Arrested who Drilled ATM in Pattaya

Another member of the gang who used a butane torch to open the back was of an ATM has been arrested. He was arrested in his room where the police found over 1 million THB.

PATTAYA- May 21, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 12.10 a.m.; Pol.Lt.Col. Thanomsak Intharaboot (Inspector of Chonburi Provincial Police Station) together with the police team could arrest a thief who was identified as a Mr Thanongsak Boonket, aged 24, at room no. 405, on the 4th floor, of a row of house south Pattaya, address 57/1-3 Moo 10 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province. The police seized 1,150,000 THB which was hidden in his room. The officers believed that the defendant might have got the cash from drilling an ATM machine. Initially, the officers seized the all the cash in order for the defendant to prove where he got the money. However, the police will try to follow up any leads to arrest the remaining gang members so they can be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.

From the case where a gang of 4 thieves that used a Butane torch to cut the back of an ATM machine of Siam Commercial Bank which was located in front of S.Con Concrete on the side of the Sukhumvit road, entrance route to Amphur Sattahip, Moo 12 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province. The gang had stolen over 2 million THB on the night of April 29, 2014. The police had already arrested a Mr. Arthit Saengprasert, aged 32, who was the head of gang with 300,000 THB and a black Honda CR-V, license number Wor Yor-929 Bangkok, that was used during the robbery.
