Angling Competition, around Pattaya bay, fun for the fishing lover.

Pattaya City accompanied with Jomtien Boats Association had a angling competition around Pattaya Bay, to promote the fishing activities to be a popular hobby for the Pattaya visitors.

On 14th November, at 7.30 pm. Mr. Deputy Mayor, Wootisak Remgijakarn, held the ceremony to grant the rewards to the fishing winner, with the members of Pattaya City MP and the people of Pattaya, including of a lot of tourists. The ceremony took place at “Surf Kitchen” Jomtien beach Pattaya, the hot spot of the local and the tourists who live in Jomtien.

The angling competition was divided into 7 different groups.
 
1. Mr. Somsak , caught a 2.1 Kgs Shark, received 10,000 Baht
2. Mr. Suwit Nongyai, caught a 16.1 Kgs Ray, received 10,000 Baht
3. Mr. Wachira Reukwandee, caught a 9 Kgs of a fish called “Pla Nang”, received 10,000 Baht
4. Mr. Jinda Artsong , caught a 6 Kgs of a fish called “Pla gret”, received 10,000 Baht
5. Mr. Panom Koonjeng, caught a heaviest fish of 25 Kgs , received 10,000 Baht
6. Mr. Praneet won the prize of the boat fishing boat, received a shield and a certificate from Assistant Banglamung district officer, Mr. Chowalit Sang U-thai
7. Uncle Sanor Changmai won the prize of “the environment preserving Boat” received a shield and a certificate from Mr. Deputy Mayor, Wootisak Remgijakarn.

Pattaya City and Jomtien Boats Association plan to have a better promotion for the angling competition in next year and also expect to have more people join the activity.
