Amphetamine Dealer Arrested In Walking Street

Pattaya police have arrested many drug addicts and a drug dealer in their latest crack down. The arrested drug dealer had just come out of prison after serving a 3 year sentence for drug dealing.

PATTAYA – April 7, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 2.30 a.m.; Pol.Capt. Netithorn Rattanasuchanan (Deputy Inspector of Pattaya city police station, Chonburi Province) and forces of police and volunteer police arrested both of the drug addicts and the drug agents then detained them to be prosecuted at Pattaya city police station.

Pol.Capt. Netithorn Rattanasuchanan mobilised forces of officers to subdue and arrest anybody using and dealing drugs in Jomtien and Pattaya. The officers arrested a lot of male and female defendants to be investigated further. They also arrested a Mr Kao Phaibul or nickname in the dope ring as “Kao Soi 2 Jomtien”, aged 37, residing at house no. 115 Moo 7 Tambon Kanthararom, Amphur Krasang, Buriram Province, an amphetamine dealer. He was arrested with 34 amphetamine pills in Walking Street, South Pattaya, after the police used marked bank notes to purchase amphetamines from Mr Kao.

Upon investigating Mr. Kao or Kao Soi 2 Jomtien, he confessed that he consumed and sold amphetamines because he didn’t have a job. Previously, he had been arrested for dealing amphetamines in 2011 which he was sentenced to prison for 3 years and he had just come out of jail. Mr. Kao claimed that he bought amphetamines from his friend who was also an amphetamine dealer in Buriram province at a price of 40 Baht per pill then he would sell for a profit of around 350-400 Baht.

The police charged Mr. Kao or Kao Soi 2 Jomtien with the allegation of “having a type 1 drug (amphetamine) in possession with the intention of selling” and sent him to the investigation officer of Pattaya city police station to be prosecuted together with the other defendants in case of consuming drugs further according to the Thai law.
