Adulterers Attacked With Slingshot by Avenging Spouse

A jealous husband used a slingshot to pelt his cheating wife and lover with rocks after he caught them drinking together in a Sattahip park. The husband beat and kicked his wife unconscious, and also beat her lover before stoning them for adultery. The avenging husband then escaped.

SATTAHIP – January 8, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 3 a.m., an incident of a slingshot being used to injure two people was received by Pol. Sub. Lt. Noraphat Thongdee, investigation officer, Sattahip police station. He went to inspect the scene with the rescue officers of Sawangrojjanatharmmasatharn Sattahip foundation.

The incident occurred at the big tree in Kromluang Choomporn park in Sattahip. At the scene, officers discovered the two victims, who were both drunk.

The female was identified as Mrs. Sophee Cholsiri, age 34. She was severely injured and lying down unconscious on the ground with a contused face. There were many wounds on her face and head from being shot with rocks from a slingshot.

The other victim was identified as Mr. Viroj Phufai, age 45. He had a wound on his forehead and was bleeding a lot from being shot by rocks from the slingshot. Rescue officers assisted the victims, who were taken to the emergency room of Queen Sirikit hospital.

Police questioned an eyewitness, Mrs. Jirawan Kirichol age 31. She told police that she saw Mrs. Sophee and Mr. Viroj sitting and drinking liquor together under the big tree until they got drunk.

Then later Mr. Jirawan heard people arguing. She saw that Mrs. Sophee’s husband, “Mr. Tuey” (nickname), had come from his house and discovered his wife drinking with another man.

So Mr. Tuey got jealous and kicked the neck of his wife and beat her severely, until she became unconscious and fell to the ground. Mr. Viroj tried to stop Mrs. Sophee’s husband, but he was beaten too.

Then Mr. Teuy began putting rocks in his slingshot, and shot both victims repeatedly until Mr. Viroj had to run away. Then Mr. Teuy escaped from the scene after making trouble.

Pol. Sub. Lt. Noraphat Thongdee, investigation officer, said that after the victims were treated for their injuries, he told them to submit their testimony at the police station so the police can make daily notes for evidence.

As for the slingshot-shooting troublemaker, the detective team will follow up to arrest Mr. Teuy to prosecute further according to the law.
