60 kg Of Drugs Found

Wrapped in a gift box marijuana drugs of 60 kg were found by a Thai lady that smuggles these drugs from Laos and sells it in Thailand.

PATTAYA – August 27, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 1.30 pm Pol.Col Suwan Chiaewnavinwit, Pattaya Chonburi received a reported that an agent smuggling marijuana (weed) and selling it to nearby areas. After investigations as it has been found that a Thai lady has been delivering marijuana to customers living in rented house, no house number was identified but it was in Praphanmmit Soi 27Tambon Nong Prue, Banglamung.

It was reported that the lady was carrying a 30 to 30 cm box wrapped in a flowery sheet as a gift box, the lady but this box to deliver in front of the rented house police nearby suspected and therefore enquired about. The lady Ms Thachaporn (Meow) 37 years old residing at 158 Moo 9 Tambon Muang Nakhon Nongrawiang, Nakonrachasima province. The police searched the box and found marijuana packed in bars, a total of 2 kg and also 18 kg of marijuana thread bars in red, 40 kg of marijuana thread bars in green and 60kgs in total.

After an interview with the lady she reported that she received the marijuana drugs from an unidentified agent in Laos, who sells the drugs for 4,500 per kg. The drugs are usually received in the borders of Thailand-Laos in Mekhong River. After that the drugs will then be sent to the small agents around the country for 7,500 to 8,000 baht per kg. The drugs were wrapped in gift boxes so that the police would not suspect, however the police were still able to identify the box and the suspect.
