50 Million Baht of Property Stolen From House

A billionaires house had been robbed and the thieves had taken around 50 million baht of gold, diamonds and ornaments. The police believe it was a gang of 3 professional thieves who had watched the house before breaking in.

CHONBURI – June 27, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- Pol.Col.Seree Settakorn-superintendent of Saensuk police station- was notified that there was a robbery at a house in Greenville Beach Bang Saen. After notification the police officers rushed to the scene.


At the scene they found Mrs Nongrak Thanajandara aged 58 the house owner and owns Naphat Chonburi Co. which sells construction materials and Mr.Taweechai her son and Ms.Sriratcha her daughter.


Upon inspecting Mrs Nongrak’s bedroom on the first floor they found a safe had been cut open and the contents stolen which consisted of diamond ornaments which were valued about 4 million baht, 300 baht of gold, a gold bar and 100 baht of gold ornaments which all valued about 8 million baht and other valuable property which was valued about 50 million baht.

Also Ms Sriratcha’s bedroom had been ransacked and 4 gold necklaces which valued about 240,000 baht had been stolen. Mr Taweechai’s room had also been ransacked and a safe which contained 2 baht gold necklace, 5 baht gold Bracelet, and 2 gold rings which were all valued about 180,000 baht. Also the thieves had taken 6 ancient Buddha statues which were priceless.


Mrs Nongrak and her daughter revealed that they have been in this village since 2009 and they hadn’t been robbed so they hadn’t put bars on the windows and doors. In the morning they went to work and when they came back they found they had been robbed.


It’s expected that the robbery gang may have consisted of 3 people. Plus they must be professional thieves to break open the safes and they may have watched the house before breaking in .However the police are now hunting for the thieves.
