Pattaya, 19th April 2011 [Pattaya Daily News]: At 6 p.m., Police Lieutenant, Issaranuwat Chongapichaikul (Banglamung Police Department) was notified of a teenage shooting occurring at Klong Tom Market (next to Muang Jumlong, Sukhumwit Road, Moo. 6, Naklua, Banglamung, Chonburi).

By the time the police arrived at the scene, the injured bodies had already been taken to Banglamung Hospital. Only traces of blood were left in the area.

The injured teenagers were Nattapon Duangpin, 19; Chanon Utsasa, 17 and Suttirak Chumkumsin, 18. All three victims suffered from severe abdominal injuries, caused by unidentified gun types.
A street vendor who witnessed the incident, reported that the shooting had occurred between two gangs – a group of 10 and a group of 8. The group of 10 was standing on the road splashing water around the area. Meanwhile the group of 8 teens was circling the area on their motorbikes.

The teenager from the water-splashing group pulled out a plastic gun hoping to threaten the motorbike gang away. However, the passenger of a Honda Wave motorbike (number plate Ngor-Lor-Kor 488, Chonburi) gang reacted with a real gun, shooting at the water-splashing group several times, the vendor recalled.

At around the same time as the Klong Tom Market crime, another shooting had occurred at Excite Pub on Pattaya Sai 3.
Police General, Nantawut Suwanla-ong (Pattaya Police Department) and his team discovered a total of five people were shot at the pub. Three identified victims were (1) Watanyu Janphak, 29, suffered gunshot in the right ankle; (2) Sompong Jitprasert, 31, wounded in the right cheek and (3) Adisorn Tongjui, 30, severely injured in the neck. The other two victims were unknown.

While splashing water at each other, two groups had a dispute which consequently led to the shooting, witnesses reported, adding that the shooters immediately escaped
