2 Nigerian Men Arrested In Pattaya For Fraud

Pattaya police made a statement about the arrest of 2 Nigerians who had fooled Thai girls out of their money.

PATTAYA – November 7, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 10.30 pm Pol.Col.Suppatee Boonkrong-acting superintendent of Pattaya police station-, Pol.Lt.Col.Chinnawat Sisawas-deputy superintendent-, Pol.Lt.Jung Wongjun-deputy inspector- and police officers had together made a statement about the arrest of Mr.Chigozie Nnamdi Nwaogu aged 31 and Mr.Onyebuchi Uchegbu aged 34 from Nigerian who were charged with fraud. They were caught with 2 laptops, 2 passbooks and transnational transaction documents.

 

Previously the police were informed that the 2 men had fooled Thai girls via Facebook and they pretended that they were billionaires who had just been divorced. They claimed that they had 15 million baht in the bank but they couldn’t withdraw the money because they needed 100,000 baht to withdraw it. There were a lot of victims that believed them and transfer their money to the gang. Later the officers found out that the gang were staying in a room in Soi Mabyailea road. Therefore the officers went to arrest them.

 

However the officers prosecuted them in act of illegal immigration. Also the police officers were looking for the victims who had been fooled by the gang.
