19 Foreign Tourists go Missing During An Activity

19 foreign tourists tracelessly went missing during a rally activity at a reservoir. Rescue and police officers immediately went out to recover the missing tourists, but they weren’t able to anyone of them, after hours of trying to find the tourists, police withdrew from the rescue mission in order to continue the search in the morning.

PATTAYA – July 6, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; 19 foreign tourists that took place in a walking rally activity that was hosted by the Hasher Running Organization at the Huay Luek Resevoir went missing during the activity. As soon as the 19 foreign tourists were identified as missing, over 100 rescue, police and voluntary officers went out to rescue or find the tourists.

The organizer of the event or activity told the police that the Hasher Running Organization hired him to organize different activities for over 200 members of the organizations that came from Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. The rally was said to last 26 kilometers.

But as the evening approached, when most of the participants arrived at the finishing and went on to the tour bus to go back to their hotels. As time went by about 19 of the participants have not come through the finishing line, which made the staff who organized the activity notify police and rescue officers to find the missing participants.

After hours of attempting to find the participants, the officers withdrew from the scene as it was approaching 02.00 AM. Police have yet to find out whether the tourists went missing of if they went back to their hotels early.

In the morning of July 9, the journalist got in formation from Mr.Suwarn Mauangkim, the head of village, moo 3, Khaomaikaeo that, after he had been tracking the tourist all night, and he tried to contact the competition staffs , and then he knew that the lost tourist had been back to his shelter since the night. All of it was about the miscommunication, and there were a lot of groups of tourists, that made it more difficult to contact.
