Young Man Arrested After Delivering Drugs To Inmates In Prison

A young man was arrested after smuggling drugs to inmates in prison.

PATTAYA – May 16, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; At around 02.00 AM Police Lt. Gen Anek Saratongyou and his officers at Pattaya police station were doing a routine prison cell inspection. 27 year-old Sophon Chalemprajong then contacted the police officers if he could leave a gift for a fellow inmate. But when he saw the officers inspecting the prison cell he made a suspicious impression. When the police officers saw him, they immediately inspected him.

The police found Crystal meth hidden in a milk box, police also found rice whiskey in a soft-drink bottle. As soon as the police officers found the drugs and alcohol, they immediately arrested Mr. Sophon. After questioning Mr. Sophon, he admitted that he was paid 2,000 THB to deliver the illegal goods and that it was his first time delivering.

Mr. Sophon, the drug deliverer is now is now in police custody and will now await further charges.
