Women Pros Prepare To Battle It Out In The Honda Lpga Thailand 2009.

On 13 February, 2009, preparations were announced for the Women‘s Golf Tournament, Honda LPGA, Thailand 2009, to take place at the Siam Country Club. Top class women pro-golfers from around the world will compete.

The tournament was announced at the the Dusit Resort, Pattaya, by the steering committee: Mr. Ittiphon Khunpleum. Pattaya Mayor, Mr. Pisuth Pitanusorn, Deputy Mayor of Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organisation, Mrs. Surang Prempree, Managing Director of Channel 7 TV and Mr. Pithak Prutthisarikorn, Director of Honda Automobile (Thailand) announced the Women’s Golf Tournament, Honda LPGA, Thailand 2009, which was attended by the media from Bangkok and the local region.

Sixty women professional golfers will participate in the Honda LPGA Thailand 2009, world class golf tournament, from February 26 – March 1, 2009, at the Siam Country Club, with prizes of US$ 1.45 Million (Bt50 million plus). Currently, 46 women golfers have already accepted the invitation.

The competitions has attracted top woman golfers, like Lorena Ochoa, Paula Creamer, Jeng Yoa Nhi Susan Pettersen, Natalie Gulbis, Ai Miyazato, Christy Ker, Park In Be and Laula Devy, as well as Japanese golfer,Ka Miyazato, and Thai golfer, Rassamee Kullayanimita. The tournament will be broadcast worldwide. Honda LPGA Thailand 2009 will give the Thai youth the opportunity to participate in this competition against top world-class woman golfers as well. One such was, Junior, aka Thidapa Suwannapura,16-year-old amateur golfer of the Thai national team, who was able to qualify for the Honda LPGA Thailand, 2009, after 5 days competing in the Honda Golf Challenge,2009.
