Woman Paedophile Jailed For Two Years

A WOMAN who staged a child porn photo shoot in return for a new life with a notorious paedophile was jailed for two years. Jane Voss, 45, a former nursery school worker, claimed she was offered a holiday and a new home by teacher Paul Jones after he wooed her on a sadomasochism website.

At the pervert’s behest Voss emailed 10 sickening images to Jones who was on the run from police in Thailand.

In the scenes she encouraged her victims to simulate sex play while her digital camera snapped away on timer, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.

Voss was snared by the Met’s paedophile unit after the Thai authorities found her email address on Jones’ computer.

Sarah Fawcett, defending, said Voss was “particularly vulnerable” to manipulation after her violent marriage came to an end.

She was also devastated after her 15-year-old son was killed in a road crash which saw the driver prosecuted.

The barrister said: “Having had such a low ebb, here was a man simply promising to take her away, to provide a new home, a holiday, compliments, self-esteem, to provide everything she felt was missing.”

Voss had earlier sobbed outside court, but she showed no reaction to her sentence.
Karen Maxwell-Burnside, prosecuting, said officers seized computer equipment containing the images during a raid at her home in Grosvenor Road, Wanstead on November 8, last year.

She told them: “I know, I’ve been blackmailed by someone on the internet.
“I sent him some pictures.
“He said he would tell everyone what I had done.”
Voss confessed to police the pair had met on Collar Me, a website specialising in “master-slave” fantasies, earlier last year.

She said she first emailed lewd pictures of herself to Jones in Bangkok.

Ms Maxwell-Burnside added: “She initially sent some nude photographs of herself, not thinking that there was necessarily anything wrong with that.

“It then escalated and the defendant asked her for pictures of children.”

Passing sentence Judge Timothy King rejected the claims of naivety and Ms Fawcett’s plea for a suspended sentence.

He told Voss: “You must have known that the taking of images of children of a sexually explicit nature went way beyond any kind of acceptable or civilised behaviour.

“You took the photographs with your digital camera and then you sent the images down the internet to your contact.

“What you thought was going to happen to these images goodness only knows.
“But I dare say these images have gone around the world by now.
“Clearly these offences are so serious that only a custodial sentence for them can be justified.”

Judge King also imposed a sexual offences prevention order, banning her from working with children.

She will also have to sign as a sex offender for 10 years.

Voss admitted six counts of making an indecent photograph of a child, distributing indecent photographs of a child and two charges of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity between April 24 and November 9 last year.
