Watch Seller Threatens Foreigner With Knife

A Pattaya street vendor who sells watches threatened to stab a foreigner because he didn’t want to buy a watch. The seller interrupted the foreigner whilst he was eating in a restaurant on Pattaya 3rd road.

PATTAYA – June 17,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 00.10 am Pattaya police were notified that a street vendor who sells watches tried to stab a foreigner in the Flying vegetable restaurant located on Pattaya 3rd road. After notification the police officers rushed to inspect the crime scene.


At the scene the police officers found the foreigner who was a customer of the restaurant and he had been led away because he was afraid of being attacked. The watch seller had fled towards Soi Bukaw road.


Upon questioning Mr.jakkapan Boonsong aged 28 who is an employee of the restaurant revealed that the foreigner was eating when the street vendor interrupted him whilst he was eating and tried to sell him a watch. The foreigner then tried on a watch but didn’t want to buy it which caused the vendor to get angry and they started arguing. The vendor then pulled out a knife and threatened the foreigner and another 2 vendors turned up and also started bullying the foreigner before they fled the scene.


Reporters revealed that some local people had recorded the incident and the watch seller was 160 cm tall and was wearing a green shirt and a long pair of jeans. The vendor fled on a Honda Wave motorcycle. This type of incident is always happening in Pattaya involving foreigners which is destroying the good image of Pattaya.
