Walking Street Inspection

Pattaya officials have inspected Walking Street to make sure that the street vendors and businesses are abiding to the rules laid down by city hall.

PATTAYA – September 23,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 22.00 pm Mr.Morakot Nuhuang- Pattaya member-,Mr.Metakrit Sunthornrod- the Walking Street leader- Pattaya members, soldiers and municipal officers went to inspect vendors in walking Street who sold goods on the foot path. Also they inspected the height of the advertisement signs and removed the ones which were below the height stated by city hall.

The inspection found that some vendors had put their stalls across the footpath preventing pedestrians from using it. Also on the 14th, 15th and 16th, the officers announced that people will only be able to park on the one side of the road which will make it easier for emergency vehicles to pass if they are needed.

Mr.Morakot said that the inspection was to make sure that the street was in a safe condition and that the businesses were abiding to the rules which had been put in place by city hall for safety reasons. However, there will be another meeting in the near future to discuss countermeasures about the problems that they found.
