Volunteer Police Extortion Update

The police have insisted that the so called volunteer police who extorted money and belongings from a Thai couple were not real officers.

PATTAYA-Recently- [PattayaDailyNews] According to the case that Mr.Phonsak Yooyuen aged 26 and Ms.Nittaya Termyotha aged 23 who notified Pol.Lt.Col.Somkid Sittisart-inspector of Pattaya police station- that they were extorted by 2 Thai men pretending to be volunteer police and they also took Mr.phonsak’s phone to sell and tried to rape his girlfriend.

 

On May 13th at 14.00 pm, Pol.Col.Suktad Pumpanmuang-superintendent of Pattaya police station summoned all the volunteer police leaders to discuss the incident and they had also checked the data of the 300 volunteer police and showed them to the victims who didn’t recognise any of them.

Later the police showed the victims images of the suspects on FACEBOOK and they confirmed it was them. They were identified as Mr.Oran Somjit aged 24 and Mr.A aged 25. The police officers had already asked for a court order to arrest them and it’s expected that they will be arrested  soon.

 

Pol.Col.Suktad revealed that the police focused on this case because it destroyed the image of the police.
