Volleyball Players murder Burmese man in Pattaya

A group of volleyball players assaulted and killed a drunken Burmese labour. He was on his way to a grocery store when he was attacked.

PATTAYA – June 9, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 19.00 pm. Pol.Lt.Col.Suppatee Boonkring-deputy commander- was notified that there was a murder in the woods on the side of road near Ban Fah Rim Hard Village. After notification he was accompanied with Pol.Col.Chaiporn Thongnatien, Pol.Lt.Col.Tailert Leupeu who led a team with the Sawang Borriboon Thamma Satharn rescue team to the scene.


At the scene behind a football field they found a body of Mr Charoen 37 year old Burmese. He had suffered severe wounds to his head and body also the police found a broken vodka bottle which they kept for evidence.


Upon inspecting Mr Vichit 42 year old Burmese labourer he told the police that Mr Charoen was a labourer and he stayed in a camp near the football field. Mr Charoen was drinking alcohol with Mr Wawa in the camp and later he went to a grocery store to buy more alcohol. Mr Charoen had been gone for a long time so Mr Vichit decided to go and look for him and found him dead.


The police revealed that they had questioned more witnesses and they found out that while he was walking to the grocery store he met a group of men who were playing volleyball and started trouble with them who then attacked him killing him before fleeing the scene. However the police are now hunting the group of killers.
