At the scene, it was noted that 2 of the suspects who were arrested on the evening of 13th July for the theft of motorbikes and violent assault, were on their way from the Pattaya Police station to the Juvenile and Family Department at the Attorney’s Office, Zone 2, were not handcuffed due to their ages.

One of them, Mr. Rut (alias) [17], the son of a Pattaya Police Highway Stations’ caretaker, made his escape by climbing over a wall leading to Na Jomtien Temple, before disappearing into nearby bushland.

The officers managed to block off the surrounding area, also searching Mr. Rut’s house but was not successful in recapturing him. The case will now be passed on to the undercover police to investigate his escape and his recapture.
