Village Headman Orders 10 Men to Attack 3 Villagers

A village head who overheard a drunken villager scolding his nephew sent 10 men to assault him and his 3 friends.

BANGLAMUNG – July 13, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 1.00 a.m., there was a report that Mr. Weerasak Pinkaew, aged 38 and his 3 friends had been severely injured. Miss Thipphamas Sae-ngow, aged 36, who was an eyewitness notified Pol.Lt. Assawin Jantho (Inquiry official on duty of Banglamung police station, Chonburi province) to take legal action on the group of over 10 men and Mr. Manot Songyothin (a village headman of Ban Rong Poh community, Moo 3, Amphur Banglamung) after they attacked and assaulted Mr. Weerasak and his 3 friends in the house no. 45/2, village no. 3, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.

 

Miss Thiphpamas (the eyewitness) told the police that Mr Weerasak is her boyfriend and before incident occurred Mr Weerasak and his 3 friends were sat drinking alcohol together in front of a house. Mr Weerasak’s nephew then rode past on his motorbike making a lot of noise which made Mr Weerasak angry who then shouted at his nephew. After a neighbour identified as Mr. Manot Songyothin (a village headman of Ban Rong Poh community, Moo 3, Amphur Banglamung) had heard Mr Weerasak’s scolding the bike rider which made him angry. He then went round and started arguing with Mr Weerasak but Miss Thipphamas stopped them. Mr Manot then walked back to his house but was still angry. Not long after a group of 10 men turned up in a car and assaulted Mr Weerasak and his 3 friends severely injuring them.

 

However, the police detained Mr Manot to be prosecuted further and will question him further to find and arrest the 10 attackers so they can be prosecuted.
