Victim Lies to Police

A Thai man who told police that he had been attack by two Thai men was caught out by police after they found out that he had sold his neck himself.

PATTAYA – May 28,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 23.00 pm Pol.Maj.Gen.Nitipong Niemnoi-commander of Chonburi- was accompanied with Pol.Col.Suktad Pumpanmuang-superintendent of Pattaya police station- and police officers who made a statement about the arrest of Mr Pattarachai Sukudom aged 27 on charge of lying to police.

 

Pol.Maj.Gen.Nitipong revealed that Mr.Pattarachai notified the police at 05.00 am of 26th May that he was attacked by 2 Thai men who robbed his gold necklace before fleeing the scene. He claimed that the incident took place at a gas station in North Pattaya.

 

After notification the police officers rushed to inspect the crime scene and the CCTV in order to track the villains but the CCTV didn’t show anything that Mr Pattarachai claimed.

Later the police officers questioned him more and squeezed him until he confessed that he was telling lies because he owed a 30,000baht football debt, so he decided to pawn his gold necklace at a gold shop because he was afraid that his mom might find out the real truth.

 

He added that he bought a beer and drove to the crime scene before he hit himself over the head with the bottle and slashed himself.

 

The reporters revealed that Mr.Pattarachai apologised to his parents and the police officers because what he did was wrong and insisted he will stop betting.
