Vamco Victims Receive Donation

Khet Udomsak Municipal District officers have donated 200,500 THB to 68 families who were affected by the recent tropical storm Vamco.

SATTAHIP – October 12th 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at the multipurpose building of Khet Udomsak Municipal District, Amphur Sattahip, Chon Buri province, Mr. Pairoj Malakul Na Ayuddhaya (Mayor of Khet Udomsak Municipal District) chaired a meeting and donated 200,500 THB to assist 68 families who were affected by the “Vamco” tropical storm which struck the coast of Sattahip last month.

 

Mr. Somboon Choompalee (Municipal Clerk of Khet Udomsak Municipal District) said that the storm had hit September 17-19, 2015 causing major damage and destruction to the area making many people homeless who had lost everything and needed help.

 

Mr. Pairoj Malakul Na Ayuddhaya said that the damage caused by “Vamco” tropical storm the administrators of Khet Udomsak Municipal District hadn’t neglected the local people and had assisted them , but even though the money being donated today isn’t a massive amount it’s a step in the right direction of helping many families rebuild their homes. Furthermore the money will go to the people who were affected the most first.
