Unregistered Motorbike Taxis Arrested

Amphur Banglamung officials have set up checkpoints to arrest motorbike taxis who haven’t registered with the government.

PATTAYA – November 4th 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; Mr. Praphan Prathumchomphu (Banglamung Deputy District Chief of Security Division) together with representatives of Chon Buri Department of Land and Transport, army officers and the police had set up checkpoints to inspect and arrest motorbike taxi riders that hadn’t registered their bikes to the government.

 

Mr. Praphan (Deputy District Chief of Amphur Banglamung) said that according to the registration of the motorbike taxis in area of Pattaya city and Amphur Banglamung, he found that there are some motorbike taxi riders that have already registered but many hadn’t.

He said that this operation was to put pressure on motorbike taxi riders who still hadn’t registered and there will more checkpoints in various places over the next few weeks.
