Unfair! Chinese Argued With Minibus Driver About Fare

Chinese tourists argued with minibus driver after they were charged flat rate.

PATTAYA-17 May-[PattayaDailyNews]; 21.30pm Pol Col Apichai Krobpetch, chief of Pattaya police, was notified that a group of Chinese tourists arguing with Pattaya minibus driver after they can’t agree the fare and the incident took place in front of Central Marina. After notification the police officers were sent to inspect the scene.

 

At the location, the officers found 8 Chinese tourists were arguing with a taxi driver no.533. Upon questioning Chinese guys took the minibus for 3-4 km and driver asked them for 400 baht as flat rate. However, the tourists didn’t agree to pay flat rate because they saw this is a kind of extortion.

 

Initially, the officers tried to be a middle man and negotiate for the tourists before the driver accepted 250 baht as fare. Plus, the officers also warned the driver to not extort the tourists.
