Two Ukraines Girls Arrested Withdrawing Cash with Fake ATM Cards

Two Ukraine girls belong to Slimmer Gang Network were arrested for using fake electronic cards to withdraw cash from several ATM machines in Bangkok.

BANGKOK- May 12, 2014, [Pattaya Daily News]: At 15:30 hours on 11 May 2014, the police officers arrested two Ukraine girls at the hotel room, Siphaya Bangkok who were believed to belong to Slimmer gang for using fake electronic cards to withdraw cash from several .ATM machines in Bangkok area. The suspected are Ms. Olga Rota aged 27 and Ms. Savietlana Kriebiennuk aged 35 with fake electronic cards, 99 password codes, and 68,300 baht in their possession.

The police officer revealed that he was notified from Kasikorn Bank that there were foreigners using fake electronic cards to withdraw cash from several ATM machines in Bangkok area. Information found on these electronic cards belong to the Bank of Thailand and match with the information or the skimmer found on several ATM machines in the southern provinces of Thailand that connected to the biggest slimmer gang from abroad. It was then found that the suspects rent the luxury hotel room in Bang Rak area in Bangkok.

After the preliminary investigation, it was found that the information in the cards belong to various banks in US, English, Russia, France, Australia, Japan, Norway, etc. and some of the information belong to the Bank of Thailand. The suspects confessed that they got these fake electronic cards from an unknown foreign man to withdraw cash from the ATM machines in which they would receive 10% of the cash amount upon completion of each transaction.

Public are therefore requested to inform the police at the telephone number +66 2 237 7535 or www.ecdpolice.come should they come across any suspicious items in front of the ATM machines or any similar incidents for further investigation. However, the two Ukraine arrested shall be prosecuted accordingly to Thai Law as reported.
