Tukcom Pattaya Raided by Police Sold Fake Phones

The police rushed to Tukcom Pattaya (Shopping mall) to arrest entrepreneurs who were selling fake phones and accessories worth over 1 million THB. Many customers Thai and foreign had complained to the police.

PATTAYA – May 5, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 18.30 pm, Pol.Col.Theeraphon Jindaluang, Pol.Col.Supachai Phuikaewkum and the police investigation and more than 50 police officers of Police station of Pattaya, Chon Buri including the Centre for the Suppression of Intellectual Property raiders raided mobile phone sellers in Tukcom Pattaya, Pattaya tai. After people and expats have complained that the operators have illegally sold the cell phones and phone equipment.

They arrested 26 operators with smart phones and phone gadgets such as Apple, Nokia, Samsung etc. which was valued at 1,200,000 baht. Pol.Col.Theeraphon revealed that the arrests was ordered by the commander as they need to clamp down Intellectual property infringement in Pattaya which consists of clothes, shoes and electronic devices. Fake goods sold in Thailand has decreased its credibility and has effected trading.
