SATTAHIP– October  29, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 17.00 pm reporters were notified that a tanker had spilt chemicals on to a road in Sattahip. After notification the reporters went to inspect the scene.

At the scene they found a tank that contained 1,000 litres of white liquid on the road and another tank was found in a small canal beside the road. The 2 tanks could be smelt from around 200 meters away and when you got closer the odour caused pain in your eyes. Plus some cars had lost control because the liquid made the road very slippery so the officers closed the road.

Later the officials washed the liquid off the road using water and also put chalk on to it to dry it up which took around 5 hours before they could re-open the road.

Initially the police officers expected that the truck drove from Rayong to Sattahip and when it reached the curve in the road it lost some of its load. However the police officers will question the witnesses in order to hunt the truck driver.
