Train Collides With Car In Pattaya

A man who drove his car over a rail crossing without looking was hit by an oncoming train. He was trapped inside the car but his female passenger was flung from it, they were both injured but lucky to escape with their lives.

PATTAYA– October 28, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 12.30 pm Pol.Col.Thammanoon Munkong-superintendent of Bang Lamung police station- was notified that a train had collided with a car and there were 2 injured in Ban Nong Sadao. After notification the police officers and Sawang Borriboon rescue team immediately rushed to the scene.

 

At the scene the officers found a Toyota Vios which had been severely damaged and was in a small canal. Mr.Sarawut Tiensi aged 20 was stuck in car and he was severely injured. The rescue team had to cut him free from the car, also Ms.Yom Tiensi aged 50 Mr.Sarawut’s mother was found 20 meters from the car. The officers had to perform first aid on them before sending them to Bang Lamung police station.

Upon questioning the witnesses they revealed that Mr.Sarawut drove his car cross the railway and he didn’t notice the train the train then slammed into the car causing Ms.Yom to be flung from it while MR.Sarawut was trapped inside.
