Traffic Congestion Conference Held In Pattaya

Pattaya officials have held a conference about the ever increasing traffic congestion in Pattaya and have discussed and asked for opinions on how to relieve the problem.

Pattaya – April 1,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at The Zign hotel Pattaya Mr.Ronnakit Aekasing-deputy mayor of Pattaya chaired the opening ceremony about a project to relieve traffic congestion and also on how to inform drivers about the congestion.

 

The government had allotted 43 million baht for Asia Traffic Technology And Service Co.Ltd to operate a traffic information project in order to manage traffic congestion in Pattaya.

 

Dr.Kittipod Permpoon-representative of the organizer revealed that the project is to manage the ever increasing traffic problems in in Pattaya. They plan to relieve traffic congestion during rush hour and also provide congestion information to drivers.

They intend to look at primary and secondary roads such as the Sukhumvit road, Pattaya-Naklua road, Central Pattaya road, South Pattaya road, Thepprasit road, 1-3 Pattaya roads, 1-2 Jomtien road, Thappraya road, the road next to the railway line and Pratamnak road.

 

Mr.Ronnakit said that Pattaya has grown in size and is continuing to grow causing more traffic problems. As a result the officials needed to come up with a solution and they had also bought in expert help to look at the situation.
