Nonthasak Marine Co’s Star Andaman, piloted by Somporn Sangthong, 31, was reversing out from the shore when Nonthasak 2003, driven by Taweesak Hantaley, 20, coming in from Phi Phi, banged into the rear end of it.

Neither of the boats, one with 12 passengers aboard and the other with 18, was badly damaged, but Mr Taweesak strained his back and four of the passengers received cuts and bruises. All were treated at the Mission Hospital and released.
