PATTAYA – July 22, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; the journalists of Pattaya city, Chonburi province had received complaints from tourists that the operators of condominiums and hotels that are close to Yin Yom beach, south Pattaya, had discarded many pieces of twigs and rubbish onto the entrance route to the beach which had caused an eye saw and gave off a very bad smell. Therefore the journalists went to inspect.

When they arrived at scene then the journalists found that the parking lot in the area next to the beach were 2 large litter bins which contained both garbage (wet wastes) and rubbish (dry wastes / trash) which was giving off a very foul smell. Upon questioning Mr. Jook Sapwichian, aged 57, an operator off the beach told the reporters that most of twigs and garbage were discarded by the staff of the Adriatic Pattaya hotel and U-Thong condominium. Pattaya city bin men would come and clean up the mess only once a week which caused the rubbish pile to accumulate and get bigger and more smellier every day. Also all the smelly liquid would run out onto the floor making it black and sticky. Many tourists had complained via the call centre (1337) but the problem still has not been solved. However, he would like to ask the related agencies to sort the problem out because this type of disregard for a public place was unacceptable and will cause a bad image of Pattayas beaches.
