Tourist Police Party In Pattaya

Pattaya’s Tourist Police took a short outdoor break on a recent fine evening to hold their New Year party in front of their Tourist Police Headquarters on Pratumnak Hill. This annual event is eagerly anticipated by our hardworking tourist police officers and their families, who get little breaks in their work of law enforcement.

Pattaya, 1st February 2011: – Almost one hundred attended this relaxing evening of entertainment that started and finished relatively early in the evening, due to the late night nature of Pattaya’s tourist entertainment, which usually extends late into the night.

With many prizes of appreciation, Thai dancing the evening saw many talented Karaoke singers coming from within the ranks of their own officers. The traditional Thai food was nothing short of excellent and featured a big variety of very popular dishes so it was a real treat for our tourist police to be able to sit down as a group and just relax.

Present were quite a few dedicated supporters of Pattaya’s Tourist Police, and of note were a group from the Tourism of Thailand Department, which in Pattaya is situated in a building adjacent to the Tourist Police offices.

Most of Pattaya’s residents do not realize what a valuable services that our Tourist Police perform, as they have to difficult task of dealing with complaints in a wide range of languages. Their dedication is unquestionable, and on the evening of the New Year Party, the bicycle patrol dutifully kitted up at 10.00 pm and headed out on their nightly patrol along Pattaya’s Beach Road.
