Three Busted For Counterfeiting

Three Thai men caught after they had used fake ID card to buy motorcycle from Pattaya motorcycle reseller.

PATTAYA – July 29,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 14.30pm Pol Maj Gen Amphon Buarabphon, chief of Chonburi, Pol Col Trairong Piewphan, deputy chief, Pol Lt Col Pawatchai Sudsakorn, deputy chief of Pattaya police, and police officers made the statement about arrest 3 suspects on charge of counterfeiting official document and deception. The suspects compose of Mr Aekasith Pomkham aged 36, Mr Nukul Pkriyapranee aged 38 and Mr Thodsawat Promma aged 26; meanwhile, Mr Suphat Charuruengpaisarn, manager and representative of Mitr Yont Pattaya Co.,Ltd, identified them as the suspects.

 

Previously, the police were notified from a motorcycle reseller that a gang used faked ID cards to make a downpayment to buy motorcycle. The operator can’t keep in touch the buyer after they got the motorbike. Later the police officers were informed again that a Thai man requested to buy a motorcycle by making downpayment and the operator expected this customer might use fake ID card. The police officers investigated the case until they caught the gang; however, Mr Thongchai Apiyangkul 24-year-old can escape.

 

Upon questioning the suspects they confessed that Mr Thongchai, gang leader, counterfeited ID card. They just used ID card to buy the motorcycle before they resold 5,000-10,000 baht a motorbike. In addition, Mr Thongchai counterfeited ID card to sell for criminal.

 

Mr Suphat revealed that the gang had tricked several branches of Mitr Yont shop. In addition, they got 22 motorcycles from them.
